Transactional Analysis

A programme for understanding interpersonal dynamics. Ego state awareness, Drama Triangle exercises, and relationship pattern reflection.

What's inside

This collection makes TA accessible and practical, introducing ego states, transactions, and the Drama Triangle through self-reflection exercises rather than theory. The programme includes micro lessons in everyday language, pattern recognition prompts, Drama Triangle exercises, and choice-building tools.

The programme covers:

Introduction explaining the three voices and the Drama Triangle. Ego State Awareness — identifying Parent, Adult, and Child in your behaviour and noticing the shifts as they happen. Communication Patterns — understanding why communication flows with some people and breaks down with others. The Drama Triangle — recognising Persecutor, Victim, and Rescuer roles and how they keep conflict alive. The Healthy Alternative — moving to the Winner's Triangle: Assertive, Vulnerable, and Caring. Integration — building lasting habits for responding from choice rather than reflex.

How to use this collection

For relationship coaching — most powerful when a client is stuck in a pattern with a colleague, manager, or team. The programme helps them see the pattern, understand their role in it, and experiment with different responses.

For leadership development — leaders often default to Rescuer or Critical Parent. This programme helps them recognise these defaults and lead from the Adult ego state.

Paired with other frameworks — works well alongside Motivational Interviewing for understanding resistance and Johari Window for blind spot awareness in interpersonal dynamics.
