OSKAR

A solution-focused programme built on Outcome, Scaling, Know-how, Affirm, and Review. Strengths-based prompts and scaling exercises.

What's inside

This collection takes a deliberately strengths-based approach. Instead of analysing problems, it helps clients focus on desired outcomes, identify existing resources, and build from what's already working. Each stage includes a micro lesson, blind spots, journal prompts, and a five-day habit builder.

Outcome — The Pull of a Vivid Future. Defining the desired future in vivid, positive, specific terms — what the client wants to move toward, not escape.

Scaling — The Power of Scaling. Using 0–10 scales to see what's already working, make invisible progress visible, and think in achievable one-point steps.

Know-how — The Resources You're Overlooking. Taking honest inventory of existing skills, transferable strengths, past evidence, and available support.

Affirm — The Case for Self-Recognition. Deliberately recognising effort, progress, and strengths to correct the negativity bias that makes failures vivid and successes invisible.

Review — Momentum Through Small Steps. Tracking movement, understanding what drives progress, and building momentum from sustained small shifts.

How to use this collection

As a structured programme, deliver sequentially — typically one to two weeks per stage. A full programme runs eight to ten weeks.

For clients who feel stuck, OSKAR is particularly effective when clients understand their problem but feel overwhelmed. The strengths-based approach builds energy and confidence rather than deepening problem analysis.

For targeted coaching, each stage works independently. Pull just Scaling for a client who needs to see their own progress, or Affirm for someone who dismisses their own effort.

Available to registered Coaching Workspace members. You'll be asked to sign in if you're not already.
