Energy Management

Physical, emotional, mental, and purposeful energy — practical tools for sustaining performance across work and life.

What's inside

This collection helps clients audit their energy across four dimensions, identify where they're chronically depleted, and build rituals that sustain performance over time. It covers 9 topics across five stages. Each topic includes a micro lesson, blind spots, journal prompts, and a five-day habit builder.

The five stages:

Physical Energy — The foundation: sleep, movement, and nutrition as performance fundamentals, and recovery as a deliberate strategy rather than the collapse that happens when everything else fails.

Emotional Energy — Auditing what fills and drains your emotional tank, managing emotional labour, and understanding emotional contagion — how your state as a leader sets the weather for everyone around you.

Mental Energy — Protecting your four-hour cognitive peak for your most important work, reducing decision fatigue, managing attention, and stopping reactive work from consuming your best thinking.

Purposeful Energy — Reconnecting daily work to something that matters, noticing moments of purpose that already exist, and assessing whether meaning has eroded or just been buried.

Oscillation & Rituals — Building rhythms of expenditure and recovery at daily, weekly, and seasonal timescales. Creating transition rituals and designing a weekly energy blueprint.

How to use this collection

As a structured programme, work through sequentially over five to seven weeks. The arc builds from the physical foundation outward through emotional, mental, and purposeful energy, then ties everything together with rituals.

For targeted coaching, each stage works independently. Pull just Mental Energy for a client who's productive but scattered, or Purposeful Energy for someone who's lost connection to why their work matters.

As leadership development, the Emotional Contagion topic is especially powerful for leaders who don't realise their emotional state is setting the performance ceiling for their team.
