Good to Great

Seven principles from Jim Collins' Good to Great — leadership character, strategic focus, honest assessment, disciplined execution, and building momentum. Structured as a 7–9 week coaching programme.

What's inside

This collection distils seven core principles from Good to Great into a structured coaching programme organised into three thematic groups. Each principle includes a micro lesson, blind spots, journal prompts, and a five-day habit builder.

Leadership & People

Level 5 Leadership — Lead with personal humility and fierce professional will, channelling ambition toward the mission.

First Who, Then What — Focus on getting the right people in place before defining the strategy.

Clarity & Focus

Confront the Brutal Facts — Face harsh realities while maintaining faith that you will prevail.

The Hedgehog Concept — Find the intersection of passion, capability, and what drives results.

Discipline & Execution

A Culture of Discipline — Build an environment where the right people take the right actions consistently.

Technology Accelerators — Use technology to amplify momentum, not create it.

The Flywheel and the Doom Loop — Build greatness through consistent, aligned effort that compounds over time.

How to use this collection

As a structured programme, work through one principle per week over seven to nine weeks. The thematic grouping provides a natural arc: start with leadership character, move to strategic clarity, then build execution disciplines.

For targeted coaching, use the baseline assessment to identify which principles matter most, then focus there. Each principle works as a standalone coaching unit.

As session preparation, assign a micro lesson and journal prompts as pre-work before each coaching session.
