Peer Coaching & Co-Development

A structured programme for two coaches developing together — through observation, feedback, and coaching each other's priorities. Designed for coach supervisors, training providers, and coaching teams.

What's inside

This collection structures a developmental partnership between two coaches who want to grow together through mutual observation, feedback, and coaching each other's priorities.

The programme covers six sections:

Establishing the Partnership — Contracting for a peer relationship: agreeing the structure, setting expectations, and creating the safety that enables genuine honesty between equals.

Mutual Observation — Watching each other coach with structured observation frameworks, followed by developmental debriefing that goes beyond surface-level praise.

Coaching Each Other — Taking turns as coach and client on real professional priorities, then reflecting on the experience from both perspectives.

Feedback Practice — Building the specific skill of giving honest, developmental feedback to a peer — harder than it sounds when the relationship matters to both of you.

Shared Learning — Joint exploration of coaching approaches, shared reading, and collaborative sense-making of your combined experience.

Review & Continuation — Assessing the partnership's value, deciding whether and how to continue, and extracting learning about what made it work.

How to use this collection

As a structured peer programme, deliver over ten to twelve weeks with weekly or fortnightly sessions. Both coaches work through the same material simultaneously.

For coaching teams, pair coaches within your organisation for structured peer development. The programme provides the framework that prevents peer coaching from becoming casual catch-ups.

For supervisor-facilitated pairs, a supervisor can oversee multiple peer coaching pairs, using group supervision sessions to explore themes emerging across the partnerships.

Available to registered Coaching Workspace members. You'll be asked to sign in if you're not already.
