Team Dynamics & Alignment

Clarifying shared purpose, defining roles and decision-making authority, agreeing ways of working, and building the rhythms that maintain alignment over time.

What's inside

This collection provides structured exercises for the alignment conversations that most teams skip — concrete, practical work on purpose, roles, ways of working, and maintaining alignment over time. Each topic includes a micro lesson, blind spots, journal prompts, and a five-day habit builder.

The programme moves through four stages:

Shared Purpose — Why this team exists, translating vague purpose into priorities that guide daily decisions, and building genuine commitment rather than surface-level compliance.

Roles and Responsibilities — Clarifying who does what and who decides what, managing grey areas where roles overlap, and building accountability that's safe and sustainable.

Ways of Working — Explicit agreements about communication, meetings, and feedback — the practical infrastructure that prevents unspoken frustration.

Maintaining Alignment — Catching drift before it becomes friction, navigating team transitions, and creating a regular alignment rhythm the team can sustain.

How to use this collection

As a structured programme, deliver sequentially over eight to ten weeks. The arc builds from purpose through roles and working agreements to sustainable practices.

For team workshops, individual sections translate directly into facilitated sessions. The Shared Purpose section is a natural half-day workshop. Roles and Responsibilities works as a team mapping exercise.

For leader preparation, a leader can work through the programme individually first to identify alignment gaps, then plan which conversations to have with the full team.
